UM, I MOVED BACK HERE ABOUT 11 YEARS AGO TO, UH, HELP SAVE MY FAMILY FARMS FROM BEING SPLIT UP IN LITTLE PIECES.

AND WE'LL BE BACK HERE NEXT WEEK TO DISCUSS SOME OF THOSE EFFORTS, BUT I'M HERE TODAY BECAUSE THIS PROCESS HAS ACTUALLY BROUGHT A COUPLE OF ISSUES TO THE FOREFRONT THAT AREN'T JUST CONCERNS FOR LOCAL FARMERS OR OTHER RESIDENTS WERE EVEN, UH, NOT IN MY BACKYARD AT THE GATES.

THEY REALLY DO IMPACT ALL OF US.

AND THESE ISSUES ARE ROAD SAFETY AND FIRE AND EMS RESPONSE.

UH, IN MY LIFETIME, THE POPULATION OF BROWNTOWN HAS MORE THAN DOUBLED.

THAT'S BOTH A DOUBLING OF THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN THE BROWNTOWN VALLEY AND THE NUMBER OF HOUSES THAT WE HAVE THERE.

AND WHILE THE INFRASTRUCTURE HAS BEEN IMPROVED TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE COMMUNITY, SOMETIMES BEING DRAGGED BY A SUPERVISOR, COLORS AND OTHERS, UM, WE IN BROWNTOWN COULD USE PROACTIVE HELP AND ADDRESSING THESE ISSUES.

UH, SO I WANT TO SAY THANK YOU TO THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, SPECIFICALLY, UH, CHAIRMAN COLORS, UH, AND THE SHERIFF FOR SETTING UP THAT, UH, SPEED.

UM, NOT A SPEED CAMERA, THE SPEED TELLER ON, UH, IN THE MIDDLE OF DOWNTOWN.

IT REALLY HELPED PEOPLE TO BE AWARE OF THE SPEED LIMIT THERE.

AND IF WE CAN WORK WITH THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS THOUGHT AND WHOEVER ELSE WE HAVE TO IN ORDER TO ADDRESS ROAD SAFETY, CONCERNS AND FIRE AND EMS CONCERNS IN BROWNTOWN IN THE COMING YEARS.

MR. CARTER MORNING MANAGED CHAIRMAN BOARD, CONGRATULATIONS TO THE NEW BOARD MEMBERS.

UH, MY HATS OFF TO ANYBODY WHO STEPS INTO PUBLIC OFFICE.

SO GOOD LUCK, UH, I'LL REPORT FOR THIS MONTH IS THAT, UH, WE HAVE DONE GRADING OPERATIONS ON PANHANDLE, STEED AND BOWMAN HOLLER ROADS.

UH, OBVIOUSLY THIS TIME OF YEAR, WE WILL HAVE TO ADDRESS A LOT OF NON-HARD SURFACE ROADS, ESPECIALLY AFTER THE TYPES OF EVENTS THAT WE HAD YESTERDAY.

UH, WE ALSO USED OUR REMOTE SLOPE MORE AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS.

WE DID A LOT OF BRUSH CUTTING ON VARIOUS ROUTES.

WE, THIS TIME OF YEAR, WE'RE KIND OF LIMITED TO DOING THAT SORT OF THING.

SO WE WILL BE CONTINUING THAT.

UM, WE DID SOME DISHING OPERATIONS ON CATLIN MOUNTAIN ROAD, AND WE HAVE OTHER LOCATIONS PLANNED FOR THIS MONTH.

WE'LL BE REPLACING TWO DRAINAGE PIPES ON POMEROY AND ONE ON RICHARDSON ROAD.

UH, THE WEATHER PERMITTING, AND WE'VE ALSO COLLECTED 30 BAGS OF TRASH ON VARIOUS ROUTES.

AND WE HAD TO PREPARE SOME OF OUR, UH, OUR EQUIPMENT WITH, UH, FOR THE UPCOMING SNOW EVENT, WHICH OCCURRED.

SO, UH, TWO BOARD ISSUES I WAS ASKED TO REPORT ON, UH, THE FLASHING WARNING LIGHTS ON ROUTE 55 AT HIGH KNOB.

UH, TRAFFIC ENGINEERING IS IN THE DESIGN PROCESS AND WORKING ON THAT NOW, ALONG WITH THE REST OF THE, UH, $1.2 MILLION SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS, WHICH INCLUDED THE GUARD RAILS, UH, ADDITIONAL PAVEMENT MARKINGS AND, AND THINGS OF THAT NATURE THAT'S SHOULD BE COMPLETE IN 2022 AND PACKAGED AND READY TO START CONSTRUCTION IN 2023.

THAT'S THE CURRENT PROJECTED SCHEDULE FOR THAT.

UH, ALSO, UH, THE CHAIRMAN REQUESTED SOME DOCUMENTATION OR MOVING FORWARD BRIDGE.

WE EXPECT TO HAVE THAT IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF WEEKS.

UH, THERE ARE SEVERAL THOUSAND DOCUMENTS TO GO THROUGH TO GET ALL OF THAT.

I PERSONALLY HAVE 2000 TO GO THROUGH AND, AND OF COURSE THERE WERE A LOT OF OTHER PEOPLE INVOLVED IN THAT TOO.

UM, THAT, THAT IS ALL THE THINGS THAT I HAD ON MY LIST.

I BELIEVE MY ASSISTANT HAS GOTTEN BACK WITH THE PEOPLE THAT, UH, ASKED HIM ABOUT THINGS WHEN HE WAS HERE REPRESENTING ME THE LAST TIME.

SO WHILE THE OTHER ISSUES ARE BOARD WOULD LIKE FOR ME TO ADDRESS, DO ANY OF THE BOARD MEMBERS HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS FOR MR. CARR? YES.

HAPPY NEW YEAR, WELCOME TO THE NEW BOARD MEMBERS.

UM, AND THOSE THAT HAVE BEEN ON, I DO APPRECIATE THIS OPPORTUNITY THIS MORNING.

UM, JUST KIND OF WANT TO GIVE YOU AN UPDATE ON, UM, WARREN COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS.

SO, YOU KNOW, WE HAVE COMPLETED OUR FIRST SEMESTER.

UH, THERE WERE SOME CHALLENGES OF COURSE, THAT WE FACE THIS LAST SEMESTER AND THERE'S GOING TO BE SOME CONTINUED CHALLENGES THAT WE'RE GOING TO FACE THROUGHOUT THE REST OF THE YEAR.

UM, SO SOME OF THE CHALLENGES THAT WE, WE, WE FACED, UH, W REALLY WHEN WE LOOK BACK OR, YOU KNOW, THERE'S JUST STUDENTS ACCLIMATING BACK INTO THE SCHOOL SETTING.

YOU KNOW, THEY GO A YEAR WITH EITHER BEING FULLY VIRTUAL OR HYBRID OR BOUNCING IN BACK AND FORTH.

UM, AND THEN NOW THEY'RE COMING BACK INTO A STRUCTURED SETTING AND, UH, EXPECTATIONS.

AND SO, SO WE DID EXPERIENCE SOME OF THOSE CHALLENGES THERE, UH, GETTING, GETTING STUDENTS ACCLIMATED BACK INTO OUR SYSTEM.

OF COURSE, WE, WE, WE FACED THE STAFFING SHORTAGES, THE FATIGUE, THE STRESS WITH, WITH A LOT OF THINGS THAT WERE GOING ON, UM, THIS SCHOOL YEAR.

UM, WE CONTINUE TO CHALLENGE TO ENSURE THAT WE CONTINUE TO BE CHALLENGED TO, TO MAKE SURE THAT WE HAVE A SAFE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT.

UM, YOU KNOW, COVID HAS NOT GONE AWAY THERE, THERE ARE MULTIPLE VARIANTS.

AND, AND REALLY, IF YOU TALK TO THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH SCHOOLS ARE ONE OF THE SAFEST PLACES FOR, FOR PEOPLE TO BE BECAUSE OF THE MITIGATION STRATEGIES THAT WE HAVE IN PLACE.

UM, AND SO WE, WE CONTINUE TO, TO MAKE THAT A HIGH PRIORITY FOR US.

AND THEN OF COURSE, JUST STUDENT ATTENDANCE, UM, YOU KNOW, STUDENT ATTENDANCE THAT WITH THAT WE, OF COURSE YOU ENCOURAGE STUDENTS AND FAMILIES THAT IF YOU'RE SICK, DON'T COME TO SCHOOL UNLESS, YOU KNOW, FOR SURE WHAT IT IS.

AND SO WITH THAT, WE DON'T AFFECT OTHER STUDENTS' LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES.

AND, UM, SO WE DID HAVE HAD SOME CHALLENGES THERE WITH, WITH SOME ATTENDANCE, UM, ISSUES AS, AS WE LOOK INTO THIS, UM, GOING INTO OUR NEXT SEMESTER, SOME OF OUR SUCCESSES THAT WE HAD THOUGH, UH, THE ADDITIONAL SUPPORT TO HELP STUDENTS, UH, WITH ACCLIMATING BACK INTO THE SETTING AT A SCHOOL SETTING WAS, WAS GREAT.

UM, HAVING THAT SUPPORT AND THOSE RESOURCES THERE REALLY HELPED, UH, TEACHERS HELP STUDENTS, UM, THE ALIGNMENT OF OUR REMEDIATION PROGRAMS. UH, SO WE DID DO SOME RESTRUCTURING WITH, WITH SOME OF OUR READING AND MATH PROGRAMS AT VARIOUS LEVELS AND, AND SEEING THE SUCCESS THAT THOSE, THOSE TEACHERS ARE REPORTING AND THAT STUDENTS ARE HAVING FROM DAY ONE UNTIL JUST LAST, UH, THE LAST COUPLE LAST MONTH, DECEMBER, UM, MOVING INTO THE, UH, THE NEW SEMESTER, THE SECOND SEMESTER WHERE WE'RE GOING TO SEE SOME, SOME POSITIVE CHANGES AS WE CONTINUE TO PROVIDE THOSE, THOSE REMEDIATIONS AND, AND INDIVIDUAL ONE-ON-ONE TUTORING SESSIONS.

UM, IT WAS ALSO GREAT TO SEE THE TEACHER SUPPORT AND COLLABORATION IN EACH OF THE BUILDINGS.

ALTHOUGH THERE WAS A LOT OF FATIGUE AND STRESS, UM, TEACHERS REALLY COME TOGETHER AS A GROUP AND THEY REALLY WORK TOGETHER TO HELP ONE ANOTHER OUT.

AND SO YOU COULD SEE, UM, SOME, SOME REAL COHESIVENESS KIND OF GOING ON WITHIN OUR BUILDINGS AND, AND THE SUPPORT FROM, FROM EACH OTHER, UH, STAFF DEDICATION TO ENSURE STUDENT SUCCESS, THOSE TEACHERS THAT, THAT WOULD PULL THOSE STUDENTS IN ONE-ON-ONE AND WORK WITH THEM, OR OFFER AFTER-SCHOOL SESSIONS, OR HAVE STUDENTS COME DOWN DURING THEIR PLANNING PERIOD SO THAT THEY COULD GET THAT ADDITIONAL SUPPORT AND HELP THAT THEY NEED.

UH, SO SEEING THAT, THAT THE, THE STU THAT TEACHERS GO GO ABOVE AND BEYOND TO HELP OUR STUDENTS INDIVIDUALLY, THAT WAS GREAT TO SEE AS WELL.

UH, SO WE HAD TO GO BACK TO THE BACKPACK PROGRAM FOR PROVIDING FOOD FOR THOSE FAMILIES THAT NEED IT, UM, OVER THE WEEKENDS.

BUT, YOU KNOW, WE HAVE, WE HAVE CONTINGENCY SET UP THAT IF WE HAVE A SCHOOL SHUT DOWN DUE TO STAFFING ISSUES, HOW ARE WE GOING TO GET FOOD TO THOSE FAMILIES TO MAKE SURE THAT, UM, YOU KNOW, THEY DO NOT GO HUNGRY DURING THAT FIVE DAY, UM, SHUT DOWN.

SO, UM, I, I'M NOT GOING TO SAY THAT IT'S STILL NOT OUT THERE, BUT I KNOW THAT WE HAVE DONE A REALLY GOOD JOB WITH TRYING TO GET THE MEALS AND THE BACKPACKS AND THE FOOD TO THE FAMILIES THAT NEED IT.

AND THEN OF COURSE, THERE'S, THERE'S OTHER PROGRAMS THAT I KNOW WE PARTNER WITH, UM, SUCH AS, AS, AS REACHING OUT NOW AND WITH THE PROGRAM THAT THEY USE TO HELP FEED FAMILIES WITHIN OUR COMMUNITY.

SO, UH, YOU KNOW, MAKING SURE THAT OUR STUDENTS HAVE, UH, A MILL IS A PRIORITY AND WE MAKE THAT A FOCUS.

AND SO WE HAVE DONE EVERYTHING WE CAN TO MAKE SURE THAT WE STILL PROVIDE THOSE SERVICES TO THE BEST OF OUR ABILITY WITHIN THE GUIDELINES OF WHAT WE'VE BEEN GIVEN.

SO, UM, YOU KNOW, ONE OF THE FUNNY STORIES I'LL, I'LL, I'LL, I'LL TELL THIS, MY, MY DAUGHTER CAME HOME ONE DAY AND SHE SAID, UH, DAD, DID YOU TAKE AWAY THE ABILITY OF US TO BRING HOME A LUNCH OR TO BRING A LUNCH TO SCHOOL? I SAID, NO.

WHY? AND SHE SAID, UM, WELL, I OVERHEARD SOME PEOPLE SAYING THAT THE NEW SUPERINTENDENT WILL NO LONGER ALLOW US TO BRING A LUNCH TO SCHOOL.

I SAID, NO, IS WHAT THAT IS.

IS THAT BASICALLY NOW THAT EVERYBODY'S FREE TO EAT LUNCH, BREAKFAST AND LUNCH IS THEIR PARENTS ARE MAKING THEM COME IN AND EAT THOSE FREE LUNCH.

SO THAT'S GOOD BECAUSE THE FAMILIES ARE USING THAT PROGRAM TO HELP THEM OUT.

UM, YOU KNOW, AND IF WE CAN GIVE THAT FREE BREAKFAST AND LUNCH AT SCHOOL, WHICH THEN ALLOWS THAT FAMILY TO USE THOSE FUNDS LATER ON TO PURCHASE THE MEALS THAT THEY NEED FOR HOME, THEN THAT TOO IS SERVING THE PURPOSE.

SO, UM, WE'LL CONTINUE TO FIGHT THAT FIGHT AND DO WHAT WE NEED TO DO WHEN IT COMES TO THE FOOD SERVICE.

SO WE MAY HAVE CAR DRIVING, YOU KNOW, WE HAVE CAR DRIVERS THAT, THAT COULD DRIVE ALL THE WAY DOWN TO STANTON, UM, UP TO WINCHESTER, UM, TO TRANSPORT STUDENTS ON, ON A DAILY BASIS.

UH, THIS COMMUNITY IS BLESSED WITH THE RESOURCES OF A BEAUTIFUL PARK, MULTIPLE PARKS.

WE HAVE THIS GORGEOUS RIVER AND, UM, OUR NUMBER ONE INDUSTRY IS TOURISM, AND WE CONTINUE TO DAMAGE OURSELVES WITH NEGATIVE PUBLICITY.

AND I WOULD LIKE TO ENCOURAGE EVERYBODY IN OUR COMMUNITY TO TALK TO SPEAK TRUTH, SPEAK POSITIVELY ABOUT THIS COMMUNITY.

THE ONE OTHER THING THAT I'D LIKE TO POINT OUT IS THAT OUR CHILDREN HAVE A NEGATIVE VIEW OF THIS COMMUNITY BECAUSE THEY HEAR WHAT

THEY DON'T, THEY THINK THIS IS A NEGATIVE PLACE TO BE.

AND I STARTED EXAMINING, WHY IS THAT? WHY DO MY KIDS BELIEVE THIS IS A NEGATIVE PLACE? BECAUSE I LOVE THIS COMMUNITY SO MUCH.

AND THEY HEAR ME AND THEY HEAR MY PASSION AND THEY SHAKE THEIR HEAD AT ME.

AND THEY THINK, WHY WOULD YOU BE SO INVESTED IN THIS MOM? WELL, WHAT I BELIEVE IS THAT MY KIDS DON'T UNDERSTAND THE BLESSINGS AND THE RESOURCES THAT FRONT-WHEEL AND WARREN COUNTY HAVE.

WE DON'T HAVE PROGRAMS IN OUR SCHOOLS THAT TAKE OUR CHILDREN HIKING.

WE DON'T HAVE PROGRAMS IN OUR SCHOOLS THAT, THAT FLOAT OUR KIDS DOWN, THIS GORGEOUS RIVER.

WE DON'T HAVE ACTIVITIES IN OUR PARKS AND REC DEPARTMENT THAT DO THE EXACT SAME.

WHY IS THAT? THIS IS WHAT WE HAVE HERE.

MY GOSH, IT'S INCREDIBLE.

SO, ANYWAY, THIS IS MY PASSION IN CASE YOU CAN'T TELL, AND I WANT TO ENCOURAGE EVERY ONE OF YOU TO DO SOMETHING POSITIVE IN THE NEXT MONTH WHERE I'M GOING TO DO THIS EVERY MONTH, BY THE WAY, THIS IS GOING TO BE DOLORES'S LITTLE POSITIVE MINUTE, BUT I WANT TO ENCOURAGE ALL OF YOU TO DO SOMETHING POSITIVE, TO ENCOURAGE YOUNG PEOPLE, TO ENCOURAGE YOUR FAMILY, START AT YOUR OWN HOUSEHOLDS, START HIKING THE TRAILS TOGETHER.

THEY'VE ALL GOT SYSTEMS THAT KIND OF WORKED FOR THEM, AND I APPRECIATE THEM ALL.

AND THEY, THEY TAKE A LOT OF GRIEF FOR SOMETHING THAT'S NOT THEIR FAULT, THAT THERE'S A MOUND OF TRASH THAT THEY CAN'T DEAL WITH AS FAST AS EVERYONE EXPECTS THEM TO.

SO I THINK WE, WE ALL NEED TO, TO STEP BACK AND THINK HOW TO BE GRACIOUS IN A MOMENT OF FRUSTRATION THAT YES, YOU PULLED UP THERE AND YOU HAVE YOUR, YOUR ALLOTMENT OF TRASH AND SOMEWHERE TO BE IN FIVE MINUTES, BUT WE JUST NEED TO BE RESPECTFUL, ESPECIALLY IN THIS TIME WHEN SO MANY PEOPLE ARE GETTING SICK AND DYING FROM COVID AND OTHER ILLNESSES TODAY IS HERE, BUT TOMORROW IS NOT GIVEN FOLKS.

AND, AND HONESTLY SOME PEOPLE WAKE UP AND DON'T MAKE IT TO THE END OF THE DAY.

WE SEE THAT THAT NUMBER IS GOING TO BE INCREASING AS WE CONTINUE TO GET NEW STUDENTS ENROLL THAT THAT REQUIRE THESE SERVICES, UH, TIMES ARE DETERMINED BY THE OFFICE OF CIVIL RIGHTS AND THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE, THE DOJ, UH, THERE ARE VARIOUS LEVELS, ONE THROUGH FOUR, ONE BEING THE, UH, THE, THE HIGHEST NEED.

SO THAT MEANS THAT A STUDENT THAT IS A LEVEL ONE, THEY COULD REQUIRE UP TO 60 MINUTES PER DAY.

UM, AND SO YOU SEE HERE THAT WE DID PROVIDE THE COUNTS WITH THE NUMBER OF, UH, STUDENTS PER TEACHER.

ALSO, YOU HAVE, UH, INFORMATION ON THE STUDENTS THAT ARE MONITORED.

NOW, THOSE STUDENTS THAT ARE MONITORED, THEY DON'T RECEIVE THE DIRECT SERVICES, BUT THEY, THOSE TEACHERS HAVE TO CHECK IN ON THOSE STUDENTS.

UM, AND SO THOSE NUMBERS CONTINUE TO RISE.

SO WHEN YOU SAY MONITORED, WHAT, WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? SO AGAIN, MONITORING MEANS THAT THEY HAVE TESTED OUT.

SO THAT MEANS, OR THEY HAVE, THEY HAVE PROGRESSED TO WHERE THEY NO LONGER NEED INDIVIDUAL SERVICES.

SO YOU HAVE LEVELS 1, 2, 3, AND FOUR, A STUDENT CAN TEST OUT IN A FOUR.

ONE IS A HIGH NEED.

AND THEN IF THEY SEE THE NEED THAT THAT STUDENT IS, IS REQUIRING ADDITIONAL SERVICES, THEN THEY WILL RE-ENROLL THEM BACK IN AND START PROVIDING THEM ADDITIONAL MINUTES ON A REGULAR BASIS IN A SCHEDULE.

SO THAT WAY IT DID NOT AFFECT ANY SPLIT PRECINCTS.

SO WE WERE ABLE TO RETAIN THOSE AND IT DIDN'T CHANGE ANYTHING FROM OUR OPTIONS THAT WE PRESENTED EARLIER.

UM, AND SO I THINK GEOGRAPHICALLY, THE OPTION, ONE MORE SPARED.

THE BEST THING WITH BOTH OF THEM IS THEY WOULD TAKE THESE INTO THE LINDEN PRECINCT AS BOTH OF THESE CURRENTLY USE THE YOUTH CENTER FOR THEIR POLLING LOCATION FOR EAST SHENANDOAH, WHICH HAS SEEN AN INCREASE.

AND SO BOTH OF THESE ARE POSITIVE FOR US AND LOWERING THAT POLLING LOCATIONS NUMBERS, BECAUSE IF YOU WERE TO GET 4,000 REGISTERED VOTERS AT A PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION, I WOULD RECEIVE A NOTICE FROM THEIR OFFICE TO SAY, WE NEED TO REDISTRICT.

SO THIS WILL HELP DECREASE THAT POPULATION OF REGISTERED VOTERS WITHIN THAT PRECINCT AND MOVE THEM INTO LINDEN.

AND OPTION ONE ACTUALLY HELPS US EVEN MORE BY TAKING MORE PEOPLE AWAY FROM THAT.

SO OPTION ONE HAS A FEW MORE BENEFITS, I THINK.

UM, BUT THAT'S JUST, YOU KNOW, I THINK THEY BOTH WORK MATHEMATICALLY AND, AND THE TRAVEL DISTANCE TO THE LENDING PRECINCT.

IT'S THE SAME AS WHERE THEY WOULD HAVE BE EXISTING NOW, SO THAT DOESN'T AFFECT THE TRAVEL DISTANCE.

THEY WOULD BE GOING TO DIFFERENT LOCATION, BUT THE MILEAGE IS ROUGHLY THE SAME.

THAT WAS GOING TO BE MY QUESTION, HOW CUSTOMER FRIENDLY IS IT TO THE RESIDENTS AND THOSE IN THOSE AREAS? SO THE TURNOUT DURING, UH, DURING AN ELECTION CYCLE MAY BE LESS, WHICH WOULD BE MORE CONVENIENT, MAYBE THE LINES OF BEING A LITTLE LESS.

SO, SO WHEN I SEE THAT YOU'VE NOTED HERE THAT THE SHADOW FARMS FIRE DEPARTMENT COULD BE POTENTIALLY USED AS A POLLING LOCATION IN THE FUTURE.

SURE.

SO THAT WAS JUST A RECOMMENDATION FROM OUR GI.

SO WHEN YOU START LOOKING AT POLLING LOCATIONS IN THE FUTURE, IF WE FELT NECESSARILY THAT WE NEEDED THE CHANGE OF PRECINCT, THAT FIRE DEPARTMENT IS NOW WITHIN WARREN COUNTY DUE TO THE RECENT BOUNDARY LINE CHANGE.

SO IT'S SOMETHING IN THE FUTURE THAT IF WE SEE SOME OF THESE PRECINCTS INCREASE OVER TIME, IT MAY BE A VIABLE OPTION TO LOOK AT THAT AS A POSSIBLE LOCATION, NOT AT THIS CURRENT DATE, BECAUSE I KNOW THERE DON'T WORK AT THAT FIRE STATION, BUT SIMILAR TO RIVERMONT, IF ANYTHING EVER LIKE THAT WERE TO TAKE PLACE, WE'RE WANTING TO JUST GET IT ON YOUR RADAR.

THAT THAT COULD BE A POTENTIAL OPTION FOR THAT PRECINCT.

SO WE CALCULATE IT BASED ON THE VOTING AGE PRECINCT POPULATION.

THE ACTUAL NUMBER IS BY REGISTERED VOTERS, BUT WE JUST SAID 18 AND OVER, YOU KNOW, YOU COULD, SO CURRENTLY IT WOULD BE IN THAT, UM, EAST SHENANDOAH'S 49, 44 OPTION ONE WOULD REDUCE THAT TO 43, 79, OPTION TWO WOULD REDUCE THAT TO 44 50.

SO OBVIOUSLY OPTION ONE WOULD BRING THAT MUCH LOWER.

AND THAT WOULD BE THE REACH THAT, UM, 4,000 VOTES THAT WOULD BE 90% TURNOUT.

UM, SO, AND AGAIN, A LOT OF THAT GETS ALLEVIATED BY ABSENTEE AS SO, BUT IT SOUNDS TO ME LIKE THE, THAT OPTION NUMBER ONE HAS A LESS IMPACT ON THE DISSECTION OF NEIGHBORHOODS.

AND I THINK THAT MIGHT BE A BETTER, I WOULDN'T WANT TO BE IN AN, IN A NEIGHBORHOOD WHERE I HAD WAS RIGHT ON A LINE AND DIDN'T KNOW WHICH PRECINCT TO GO TO AND SPENT TIME TRYING TO FIGURE THAT OUT.

I THINK THAT LESS CONFUSION FOR VOTERS IS BETTER.

SO I WOULD, I'M GOING TO SAY OPTION ONE, MS. COLORS.

I MEAN, IT, IT BREAKS IT OUT SO MUCH EASIER TO, IT PUTS A COMMUNITY BACK INTO A WHOLE COMMUNITY BACK INTO THE LINDEN AREA, WHICH I THINK THAT IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN.
