IT ALL DEPENDS ON THE APPLICANTS AND THEIR QUALIFICATIONS AND IT FITS THEIR NEEDS.

PRETTY ENLIGHTENING TO KIND OF IDEAS PEOPLE HAVE FOR, ESSENTIALLY FOR PROTECTING THAT AREA FROM DEVELOPMENT.
UM, I WENT TO A, WELL, I PARTICIPATED IN THE TEAMS MEETING.

UM, I, UH, LIKE, LIKE RICH, I UH, ATTENDED THE ROCKLAND COMMUNITY MEETING ON JANUARY 8TH AND HAD A SIMILAR IMPRESSIONS.
UM, AS WELL I ATTENDED THE, UH, THE VDOT, UH, REMOTE SESSION FOR PLANNING FOR THE PARDON OUR DUST MEETING.
UM, AND WANTED TO JUST MENTION, UH, THAT, THAT PARDON OUR DUST MEETING IS TOMORROW NIGHT, UH, AT 5:00 PM AT THE NORTH WARREN FIREHOUSE FOR ANYONE WHO LIVES IN THAT AREA AND WOULD LIKE TO ATTEND.
UM, AND, UH, ALSO I MET, UH, IN PERSON WITH WILL GORDON, WHO IS, UH, UP FOR REAPPOINTMENT TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION.
AND, UH, HE AND I DROVE AROUND AND, AND LOOKED AT SOME PROPERTIES AND TALKED ABOUT OUR, OUR, UH, WHERE WE ALIGN ON VISION FOR THE AREA AND, UH, HAD A GOOD, GOOD TALK WITH HIM.
UH, JUST WANTED TO THANK ALL LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS.
THEY HAD THEIR NATIONAL APPRECIATION DAY, UM, LAST WEEK.

UM, I KIND OF FEEL LIKE EVERY DAY SHOULD BE NATIONAL APPRECIATION FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT AND OUR FIRE AND EMS AS WELL.
UM, BUT I DO THANK THEM FOR ALL THE, ESPECIALLY IN THE WEATHER THEY'VE HAD TO GET OUT IN THE LAST 24 HOURS.
UM, WANT TO SEND OUT APPRECIATION TO THE VDOT AND ALL OF OUR PUBLIC CREWS, WHOEVER'S BEEN OUT CLEANING SIDEWALKS, ROADS, WHATEVER WITH THIS.
AND IT SOUNDS LIKE THIS IS GONNA BE A, A NASTY WEEK, UH, CONTINUING FORWARD.

OTHER BOARD INITIATIVES THAT WE'VE GOT GOING ON, PARTICULARLY LOOKING AT THE LAST ONE, YOU ARE OUT AT THE SITE AND LOOKED AT IT AND WE WANT TO BE READY THE LATER THIS YEAR TO MOVE FORWARD ON THAT.

UH, AS YOU LOOK AT YOUR BUDGET, YOU'LL NOTE, REMEMBER MOST OF THE PRE THE PRESENTATION OF THE NEW PROJECTS THAT WERE FUNDED THROUGH THE CENTER ARE DOWNTOWN.
SO THIS INCREASE THAT THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT, YOU MIGHT WANT TO BE SHARING THAT.
TOURISM, WE NOW HAVE OUR OWN DEPARTMENT AND MOVING THAT FORWARD, IT WORKED ON A NUMBER OF PROJECTS THIS YEAR.
UNFORTUNATELY THEY DID NOT HAVE ANY NUMBERS FOR YOU.
YOU SEE HOW IT WENT UP FROM 20 TO 21, 6,000 TO 7,600, STAYED ABOUT SEVENTY SIX HUNDRED AND TWENTY TWO AND IS NOW THE ESTIMATED FOR THE END OF THE YEAR IS GONNA BE BACK AT ABOUT 72.
THAT IS STILL A DRAMATIC INCREASE FROM WHERE IT WAS THREE YEARS AGO.
THEY ARE NOW FUNDING OR STAFFING FORTS SMITH.
THEY CONTINUED THE AGREEMENT WITH HANOCK COUNTY AND THEY HAVE JOINED WITH SOUTH WARREN ON THE NEW PAINT PUMPER TRUCK.
THEY HAVE ADVANCED THE EMS RESPONSE PROGRAM INSTITUTED THE BATTALION CHIEF PROGRAM AND INCREASED THE FIREFIGHTER CANCER PROTECTIONS PARKS AND CORRECT.

AS THE STATE BUDGET GOES BACK, YOU'RE SEEING THE REPORTS, THEY ACTUALLY ARE GOING TO HAVE LESS REVENUE.
THEY'RE NOT GONNA BE HAVING SO MUCH IN MANY PROGRAMS AND THEY WILL BE LOOKING AT LOCAL GOVERNMENTS FOR PARTICULARLY EDUCATION AND HOW THAT THEN AFFECTS THE REST OF YOUR BUDGET.
