IN THIS PROPOSAL, THE SHERIFF MET WITH THE FIRE CHIEF TO LOOK AT A LOCATION THAT COULD ALLOW FOR USAGE OF JOINT TRAINING BETWEEN DEPARTMENTS, WHICH WAS FOUNDED AND CURRENTLY USED BY THE FIRE DEPARTMENT ESA LANE. ANOTHER ASPECT TO LOOK AT IS THE BENTONVILLE TRANSFER STATION IS ROUGHLY 125 ACRES WITH 11 ACRES NOT IN USE THOUGH THIS 11 ACRES WAS PURCHASED AS A BUFFER A FEW YEARS BACK FOR 242,000. THE PROPOSED SIDE OF THIS RANGE WOULD BE ON THIS PROPOSED BUFFER AND ENCOMPASSING A LITTLE LESS THAN FIVE ACRES. THE ESA LANE PROPERTY CURRENTLY USED BY THE COUNTY FOR BUS STORAGE AND AS WELL AS USED BY THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AS 107 ACRES AND ONLY USING SIX. THIS IS 101 ACRES OF UNUSED LAND. THE OTHER FACTOR OF ESA LANE OVER BENTONVILLE IS NATURAL TERRAIN ASSOCIATED WITH THE PROPERTY TO ALLOW FOR BETTER SOUND MITIGATION DUE TO HILLS, TREES AND VEGETATION. THIS WAS STATED IN AN EMAIL SENT AUGUST 10TH, 2022. THAT SOUND TESTING WAS BEST AT ESA LANE AND WAS CONDUCTED WITH NOW A CURRENT LIEUTENANT COLLINS.
